With the page turned horizontally, there is an isolated study of an anchor at the top right, and a cluster of details of masts and sails in the middle. These may have been observed at Margate or in the Pool of London (see the Introduction).
At the bottom left relative to the sketches, but made with the page turned vertically, is the following sum in pencil, with the answer left blank:

Technical notes:
The page is somewhat stained by proximity to the leather overlaps from the back cover and the acidic board under the pastedown opposite (D41106).
