As Ian Warrell notes, it is unclear whether this slight study of a standing female nude and another on folio 70 verso (D22458) are ‘formal or more improvised studies’.1 There is a perhaps related inscription above another figure drawing on folio 72 recto (D22461). See also the possibly erotic sketch on folio 2 verso (D22326). There are further figure studies on folios 7 recto, 12 recto and verso, 70 recto, 71 recto and 72 verso (D22333, D22341, D22342, D22457, D22459, D22462).
The partly legible inscription possibly relates to the financial notes on the recto (D22323).
