Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this view is probably of the north side of Virginia Water near the Chinese Fishing Temple shown on folio 90 verso opposite (D22146; Turner Bequest CCXXXVIII 88a) and in adjacent sketches. The small building in the distance, perhaps a boathouse, is not identified.
