Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this is a view westwards along Virginia Water from the southern shore. The forms on the water to the left may be swans. The view continues on folio 91 verso opposite (D22148; Turner Bequest CCXXXVIII 89a), where the Chinese Fishing Temple appears.
