There are several related sketches on this page. At the top is a view south-east across the River Severn, with the cupola of St Nicholas’s Church, the tower of All Saints, the spire of St Andrew’s and the cathedral beyond the bridge. There are more detailed versions of this view on folios 2 verso–3 recto and 4 recto (D22154–D22156), and another version on folio 5 verso opposite (D22160). To the right of centre is a view of buildings on the west bank of the river, perhaps in the vicinity of the lower view, looking south-south-east across the still extant racecourse on the eastern bank, with the city in the distance. At the bottom left is a continuation from the study of a barge on D22160.
