Rural buildings are seen among trees with a wooded hillside beyond, under threatening clouds. There are numerous unidentified landscapes in this sketchbook, as set out in the Introduction; a similar study with a square feature towards the left is on folio 15 recto (D27751), and apparently shows the same view. Some may have been recorded in the vicinity of the scenes of fishing at a weir which begin on folio 15 verso (D27752).
