Stamped in black ‘XXXV 47’ bottom left, descending vertically
Finberg transcribed the inscription as ‘Browwater’, but guessed that Brotherswater was intended. Broadwater was an alternative name for Brotherswater. Drawn with the page turned horizontally, the view, looking south across the water, takes in the old bridge at the right and Hartsop Dodd in the centre. Two further views of Brotherswater are on the following leaves, folios 63 recto and 64 recto (D01050, D01051; Turner Bequest XXXV 48, 49).

Blank; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram; inscribed by A.J. Finberg in pencil ‘141.47’.
