Drawn with the page turned horizontally, this is one of three views of Brotherswater in this book; the others are on folios 62 recto and 64 recto (D01049, D01051; Turner Bequest 47, 49). The viewpoint here is on the eastern shore of the lake, below the village of Hartsop, looking across to Hartsop Hall. The hills beyond are Hart Crag and, to the left, Dove Crag.
