This is one of a sequence of five drawings that record the interior of York Minster: one is in the contemporary North of England sketchbook (Tate D00975; Turner Bequest XXXIV 66), the other three are on folios 89 recto, 90 recto and 92 recto (D01075, D01076, D01078; Turner Bequest XXXV 73, 74, 76) in this book.
The drawing is continued on a little way onto folio 90 verso opposite (D40552).

Blank; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram; inscribed in pencil ‘141.75’ and ‘XXXV, 75’.
