Here Turner has produced a rough and swiftly rendered sketch of villas in the outskirts of Spa. Drawn in simple outline, the lodgings are situated toward the base of the Ardennes ridge. What appears to be the word ‘Bellevue’ followed by an indecipherable word beneath it has been inscribed at the bottom right of the sheet.
