Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the Monument and the tower of St Magnus the Martyr are shown to the north-east across the River Thames beyond Old London Bridge in this part of the drawing, which extends across folio 90 verso opposite (D18837; Turner Bequest CCXIII 88a).
