This may be a view in the valley of the Dee, drawn with the page turned horizontally, though the hills do not seem to be high enough to be those around Llangollen, through which Turner passed on his way from Denbigh (see folio 35 recto; D01389; Turner Bequest XXXIX 34) back into England. Drawings indisputably showing the Vale of Llangollen are on folios 40 recto and 41 recto (D01393, D01394; Turner Bequest XXXIX 38, 39).
Verso:
Blank; stamped in brown ink with Turner Bequest monogram.
