This drawing, made with the page turned horizontally, has elements in common with a watercolour in the contemporary Hereford Court sketchbook (Tate D01349; Turner Bequest XXXVIII 95): the broad, apparently cultivated valley beneath a large mountain, and substantial farm buildings in the foreground. However, the shape of the mountain is somewhat different in each.
