Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, this very cursory sketch may show the Cyfarthfa iron works, of which Turner made detailed drawings in his contemporary Cyfarthfa sketchbook (Tate D01629–D01632; Turner Bequest XLI 1–4). The present drawing is continued on folio 74 recto opposite (D01584; Turner Bequest XL 74).
