Inverted relative to the sketchbook’s foliation, the drawing is continued on folio 44 recto opposite (D01762; Turner Bequest XLI 87). There is a sequence of studies at St Donat’s in the 1798 Cyfarthfa sketchbook (Tate D01647, D01649, D01653; Turner Bequest XLI 18, 19, 22).
