This sketch of figures in local dress may be connected to a street scene taken at the town of Eu (Tate D19956; Turner Bequest 203). The figures are wearing various types of traditional cap, similar to those recorded in Tate D24502–D24503; Turner Bequest CCLVIII 2–2v.
