With careful and agile handling, Turner has taken a view from the Moselle which incorporates a study of a tall and verdant tree, its softly hanging foliage rendered in loose scalloped line. The river valley beyond is comprised of a low sloping mountain range, and at its feet a village. The onion cupola of the diminutive tower there may indicate that the village is Zell, near Breidel.
