Architectural historian Christopher Wilson has identified the drawing at top left of this group as showing the tracery of the great east window of St Laurence’s Church, Ludlow.1 To its right is a detail of the window at the east end of the north chancel aisle. That at bottom right is the tracery of the upper storey of the crossing tower, showing one of the niches for statuary, with a plinth. Ludlow is the largest church in Shropshire, and its tower rises 41 metres (135 feet).
