With the sketchbook turned horizontally, Turner filled most of this page with views of a river landscape, possibly at Saint-Cloud or Sèvres some seven miles west of central Paris on the banks of the Seine. This volume contains multiple drawings of this area, a list of which is provided in the sketchbook Introduction.
