This is a study of St Nicholas’ Church at Yarmouth, Norfolk (see Tate D18189; Turner Bequest CCIX 17a). The cupola of the eighteenth-century Fishermen’s Hospital can be seen to the left of the church. Turner has also jotted a detail of some gothic tracery at rear and part of another building at top right.
