This rough sketch, dashed off at speed, depicts the main street of a town with a carriage at right and a church tower in the middle distance. The Turner scholar Cecilia Powell suggests this may be a view of Teplitz in Bohemia (now Teplice in the Czech Republic), with the Schlosskirche at centre.1
