Saturday 21 February 2009, 14.00–16.30

This discussion will explore the nature of creativity and role of genius at a timely moment: it is the 40th anniversary of Lord Clark's Civilisation and the Tate Triennial. In Civilisation Kenneth Clark defined genius as god-given and the highest achievement of the human mind, which contrasts with Nicolas Bourriaud's new concept of Altermodernity, suggesting that creativity is a collaborative process.
