Turner was Britain's greatest and most prolific painter, producing over 32,000 works, many of great visual and thematic complexity. This two-day course will explore the breadth of Turner’s art through visits to the Collection displays, the Turner and the Masters exhibition and the Prints and Drawings Rooms, offering a special insight into Turner’s watercolours and his personal sketchbooks. This is a unique opportunity to learn about his output, as well as the varied techniques he employed in the context of his contemporaries and the Turner and the Masters exhibition.

Part of the Great British Art Debate, supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund, and by the MLA’s Renaissance programme
