JMW Turner was Britain’s greatest and most prolific painters, producing over 32,000 works, the majority of which are held at Tate Britain. This two-day course explores the breadth of Turner’s art through exclusive and intimate visits to the Collection displays, and the Prints and Drawings Rooms, the course offers a special insight into Turner’s watercolours and his personal sketchbooks, and is a unique opportunity to learn about the life and work of this most distinguished artist.  The course is led by Eric Shanes, author of Turner: The Great Watercolours (2000) and Turner’s England (1990).
