The Thames is one of the world's most painted rivers and it inspired JMW Turner, James Abbott McNeill Whistler and Claude Monet to produce their resonant, lyrical images of nature. This study day explores these historic representations in the Turner Whistler Monet exhibition and directly engages with the Thames at Millbank. Through practical sessions using a combination of photography, drawing, text and watercolour, participants will produce their own artist's book inspired by the River Thames.
