Samuel Beckett's almost silent film (Samuel Beckett and Alan Schneider, USA 1965, 22 min) follows Buster Keaton as he evades the camera's 'all seeing-eye', and repetitive optical motifs explore ideas of perception in cinema. Beckett described Keaton's character as 'in flight from extraneous perception breaking down in the inescapability of self-perception'.
