Architecture and Sculpture

Sunday 6 February 2005, 15.00

This series of short films takes as its starting point the constructional suggestiveness of Anthony Caro's sculptures. From depictions of slum dwellings in London in the 1930s and modernist responses to them, to the astonishing depths of the Baroque church at Sedlec and the heroism of Simon Rodia's towers, the films show the sculptural complexity of architecture exercised in its languages, inhabitation and observation.
