Sunday 6 November 2005, 15.00

Programme duration 90'

From the domestic advent of heated water to Jacques Tati’s teaching of mime, and from Bill Broonzy’s singing to the marriage of a lesbian couple, these films spotlight aspects of modern life. Picking up on various strands of modernity identified by the Degas, Sickert and Toulouse-Lautrec exhibition, this screening investigates how these themes developed during the twentieth century. Curated by Rob Stone.
