Repulsion
Part of
British Art Week
Roman Polanski, UK, 1965, 104’
A claustrophobic flat in South Kensington is the setting for Polanski’s disturbing portrait of mental and emotional breakdown.
Catherine Deneuve plays a young Belgian women staying with her sister who becomes increasingly anxious once left on her own.
Unwelcome visits from the landlord only increase the nervous hysteria already developing in the small flat, fuelling dreadful
consequences.
Repulsion is screened in British Art Week, to complement the Art and the 60s exhibition.
