The Strawberry Thieves Socialist Choir

CloreGarden, 20.30–21.00
Formed in 1996, the centenary of the death of William Morris, one of whose designs they are named after, the Strawberry Thieves sing together in a wide variety of venues including Demos, Stop the War events and Labour movement meetings. Join them in singing familiar protest and Union songs in the South Duveens and the Clore Garden.
The Metroplitan Male Voice Choir

The Metropolitan Police Male Voice Choir was established in 1872, and comprises both serving and retired officers and police staff. Having performed across the world join them tonight to hear and sing along with a London medley of songs, including both the familiar and carefully chosen songs from the first half of the twentieth century.

Catherine Pestano has more than 10 years experience teaching people to sing. Tonight she will be running two fun workshops making sounds and finding voices inspired by abstract paintings of Modern British Landscapes.

Join Pimlico’s finest Karaoke Queen and wind down with your choice of classic pop, rock, funk, soul and country. Don’t be shy.
There will be a table set up outside Room 9 from 19.30 to make your performance requests. Please note that songs/performers
will be called in order and if you miss your allocated slot you may miss your opportunity to shine on stage.

Join the Renaissance Singers, a long established choir with expert knowledge of music from the 16th and 17th Century as they lead you to participate in English rounds and early drinking songs.

Students from Pimlico Schools Special Music Programme will sing Sacred Music by William Boyd and then lead the audience to join them singing the Girl from Ipanema.

Singing Bus Tours along the Thames with Cleo and Ollie Bayley
19.00–19.30 and 20.00–20.30
Join a short bus tour on the classic Route Master along the River Thames and learn Flanders and Swann’s classic omnibus anthem ‘Transport of Delight’. Bus Tours last approx. 15mins followed by a short performance on the gallery lawns.

All of the Singing events are aimed and people with no prior musical experience the emphasis is on having fun and joining in.
