Francis Bacon's turbulent life unfolds in the film Love is the Devil (John Maybury,UK, 1998, 90 min, cert 18), which chronicles the artist’s relationship with muse and lover George Dyer. After the screening lecturer Jane Little and filmmaker Sam Dore give a talk in BSL/SSE, and you’ll have the chance to discuss John Maybury's film over a festive drink.
