‘Speed Reading’ is an hour-long relay race, featuring 25 writers and artists who will take turns reading aloud short texts related to the theme of speed while running on two treadmills positioned side-by-side. The velocity of the treadmills will be controlled by a sadistic MC, the Speed Demon. Readings will be from novels, manifestos, poems, philosophical treatises, children's stories, timetables, recipes, parables, scientific experiments, or any other relevant genre.

Speed readers include Carey Young (artist), Jeremy Millar (artist), Craig Smith (artist), Una Knox (artist), Sally O'Reilly (writer) and Kieran Long (editor of Architecture Journal).
