Bella Beauty The private collection of Freddie Booker-Carson and Simon Carson |
To coincide with the Seeing Africa display, writer and professor Lola Young talks to the American collector and philanthropist Freddie Booker whose collection makes up the display.
Using film clips, posters and images of figures such as Josephine Baker and Paul Robeson, writer Mike Phillips and cultural critic Onyekachi Wambu then discuss representation and what might constitute a ‘positive image’.
