Grayson Perry in his studio
© Justin Westover |
Grayson Perry is best known for his ceramic work. His explicit, playful, poignant and often tragic narratives give voice to the intricacies of personal subjectivity. From the nature of adolescence to sexual persuasion his work, both object-based and performative, opens questions and confronts everyday prejudice. He is known for his outspoken and thought-provoking manner and his commitment to craft and personal expression. This special day invites visitors to learn more about his work in the morning with a one-hour lecture and question and answer session, followed by a trip to Grayson Perry’s studio and a discussion with the artist.
