Freedom to Roam
A Picture of Britain explores how the British landscape has inspired artists, writers and others over the last three centuries. The exhibition
represents six regions from Scotland to southern England through the eyes of major artists ranging from Samuel Palmer to Barbara Hepworth. Join curator Richard Humphreys and Nicholas Milton of the Ramblers' Assocation on a walking tour of the exhibition. They discuss landscapes that hold a particular resonance
with walkers and consider the role rambling has played in defining British cultural identity.
