Tamsin Dillon, curator of Platform for Art, introduces and critiques the work of the Turner Prize 2005 nominees: Darren Almond, Gillian Carnegie, Jim Lambie and Simon Starling. Dillon also reconsiders the value and status of the Turner Prize, now in its twenty-first year, and questions whether the prize continues to reflect developments in contemporary British art.
