Craigie Aitchison
Christmas card, 1992

This year, the artist Craigie Aitchison RA was invited to design the decorations. The artist was born in Scotland and works in London and Italy. His vibrant paintings reflect his interest in early Italian art and in religious themes. These concerns are also apparent in his original and charming decorations for the tree, which include illuminated birds and other animals.

The commission was supported by the Patrons of New Art.
