Room 5 Arrow Right Harewood Bridge, Yorkshire

An otherwise plain view of the bridge and weir on the River Wharfe is enlivened by one of Girtin's most interesting figure groups. The men are shown using a primitive floating hoist to drive a pile into the river bed. The work has faded, though it was probably never very colourful.
