Film Programme
Curated by Chris Townsend, Lecturer in Media Arts, Royal Holloway,
University of London. He writes: 'Tacita Dean's work provides a
concentrated meditation upon the formal and narrative organisation
of film, with an unusual emphasis upon the interaction of image
and sound, and with the chance encounter as a common device. I've
chosen films which in their complexity (or daring simplicity) also
challenge the conventional trajectories of cinema.'
