1) Hungerford Bridge, formerly known as Charing Cross Bridge
Walk past Hungerford Bridge, along the Victoria Embankment, and then turn and look back; this gives some idea of the viewpoint from which Monet painted his views of the bridge (he was in fact working from the 6th floor of the Savoy Hotel). You should be able to see the Houses of Parliament in the distance.
Keep walking north along the Victoria Embankment and on your left, just the other side of Embankment Gardens, is the Savoy Hotel, from where both Whistler and Monet painted views of the Thames.
