Chrissie Iles is curator at the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York. She is a curator of the 2004 Whitney Biennial, and of Into the Light, a major survey exhibition of projective installations from the 1960s and 1970s. Other recent exhibitions include Jack Goldstein: Films and Performance. She is consulting curator on the forthcoming exhibition Summer of Love at Tate Liverpool.

From 1988 - 1997 Iles was Head of Exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art Oxford, where she curated exhibitions by Donald Judd, Sol LeWitt, Louise Bourgeois, John Latham and Gary Hill, amongst others.

Iles' published work includes catalogue texts on the work of Dan Flavin, Marina Abramovic, John Latham, Marcel Duchamp and Bruce Nauman. She is an adjunct Professor at Columbia University.
