Karen Logan is a visual artist who studied fine art textiles at Goldsmiths College. Using cloth and textile she explores various concerns, especially temporality, transience, shifting meanings, and the possibility of erasure. Appropriately for an artist interested in time and memory, she learnt many of the techniques she still uses from her female relatives and developed them at home during her childhood.

Karen has devised and led numerous projects with schools, youth and community groups over the past decade, as well as working with organisations including the Victoria & Albert Museum, Whitechapel Art Gallery, the Women's Library, Creative Partnerships London North and Creative Partnerships Kent.

Reflecting on the project, Karen noted:

"The children responded wonderfully with careful, insightful explanations of process and concept. They were fully aware of how we all see different things in art, and that imagination plays and important role - I was touched by these responses and this was one of my favourite moments."
