Peter Blake: A Retrospective

Until 23 September 2007
£5 (£4 concessions)

Peter Blake: A Retrospective is now open. A major exhibition of paintings and drawings by the Godfather of British Pop art, it reflects Blake's fascination with celebrity and is a wonderful survey of 50 years of Popular Culture. This is also a chance to view some rarely seen works including fairy tale images from his Ruralist period and projects that are currently occupying the artist.

"Peter Blake is an original, a man with enthusiasm to spare" - Peter Chapman, The Independent

"He is very quirky, very English, very cheering - national treasurehood beckons" - Lynn Barber, The Observer

Peter Blake: A Retrospective will continue over the summer. Don't miss it!

Late at Tate

Thursday 26 July from 18.00

This month we are launching a Late at Tate programme in Liverpool. On the last Thursday of every month we will be open until 9pm and will be presenting special events and music in the gallery. Whether you want to take part in an event, see the exhibition or simply want to come along for a drink we hope you will be able to join us.

Our first Late at Tate event is Peter Blake in Conversation with Tracey Emin and although this has already sold out, there will be lots more to do on the evening and you may even catch a glimpse of the artists too.
