A lot of people have been asking why some of Gabriel’s Schwalbe photos are printed back to front.

Gabriel Orozco Yellow Schwalbe Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin

Gabriel wanted all the scooters to face in the same direction - so that it looks like a journey around the room when installed. The last image is the only one with three bikes in it. This is because every time he encountered another scooter like his, Gabriel left an invitation to meet him outside the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin on the day of the commemoration of the unification of Germany. Sadly only two of his fellow Schwalbe owners joined him.
