Discovering Cory Arcangel’s computer world

About

TateShots met Cory Arcangel at Team Gallery, New York, where he showed us around his exhibition Adult Contemporary. Arcangel uses the term ‘computer nerd’ hesitantly, but his work certainly appeals to our inner geek. There’s his modified PlayStation controller, which does nothing but deliver gutter balls during a bowling game, and a film that relies heavily on special effects from a vintage machine bought from eBay. His work appears at Tate Liverpool in May 2009, as part of the Colour Chart exhibition.
