About

Tacita Dean’s works span the realms of fact and fiction, and frequently cite the emotive journey between concept, narrative and experience. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, including at the 50th Venice Biennale (2003), and her work is featured in the Tate Collection and the collection of the Museum of Modern Art, New York. Dean’s works The Roaring Forties: Seven Boards in Seven Days 1997, and Disappearance at Sea 1996, which feature in the Material Gestures wing, are one of the subjects of this talk.
