So I am a visual artist, I am living in Romania and I do projects, social projects I will say. And this film is called Together, in Romanian, Impreuna. In fact it’s a documentation of a public performance I organised here. It’s about 250 Romanians meeting together in a public space which is in front of Tate Modern esplanade, and they are sharing together a common attitude. They are altogether in the frame for one minute, and the people are doing like a public event to show the idea of a community and how people show their self esteem. I would say there is…many of them are very frustrated because of this label of being Romanians coming from a poor country, being seen here in this way. The film, I think, is interesting because the film shows the emotion of these people, so you don’t have to speak to use words because you just have to look to people and they have the power to send an emotion through a gaze.
