We would like to welcome ArtStarts Gallery to the BP Art Exchange community.

The ArtStarts Gallery is the first in Canada devoted exclusively to young people’s art. Located in downtown Vancouver, the gallery celebrates the exciting artwork that emerges when students, educators and professional artists work together to deepen learning, creativity and community connections. Exhibitions often showcase the inspiring work resulting from ArtStarts’ Artists in the Classroom program, which supports opportunities for schools to work directly with professional artists to learn in and through the arts. The ArtStarts Gallery offers arts programming for young people, including free tours for schools and groups and free monthly workshops for families.

The gallery is part of ArtStarts in Schools, a not-for-profit organization that provides innovative arts programs for young people, practical resources for teachers and artists, and leadership in advocacy for arts in education. Each year, ArtStarts reaches an estimated 500,000 young people in urban, rural and remote communities across the province of British Columbia, Canada. From Kindergarten to Grade 12, in public and private schools throughout the province, ArtStarts supports a wide range of arts based experiences that activate learning for young people.
