A Picture of Britain is a six-room exhibition at Tate Britain and a six-part BBC television series in which ideas about the nature of our country will be explored through images and words. Both the television series and the exhibition focus on six areas of Britain defined as The Romantic North, The Home Front (The South), Highlands and Glens, The Heart of England (The Midlands), The Flatlands (The East) and The Mystical West.

Please note that not all of the images used within this resource are included in the exhibition.
