Rhiannon from Exeter, age 11
The weather was cold, the winds were icy and the
sky was a steely shade of grey, but Mary had argued that she wanted
to go fishing. In the end her husband gave up knowing he could
never win when Mary wanted something. She packed up her rod and
net and set off. She had not been by the waters edge long but
the cold had already got to her. She could not return home as
her husband would go on about how she should of listened and how
he was right and she was wrong, Mary never admitted defeat unless
she had to.
Mary was quickly absorbed in her fishing and was enjoying the
sound of the lapping water against the mossy rocks when she heard
a crunching of gravel she turned round to find it was just a cat
and that turning around was a big mistake as a huge gust of wind
made her skirt act as a sail and she was blewn of the rocks and
into the water. She went home dripping wet and never fished again

Leah from Bristol, age 13
she has run away from her wedding and has bad nerves
and has gone somewhere peaceful to reflect on the life she is
going to leave behind when she gets married...

Georgie from Bristol, age 12
This is my favourite place ever. The air is soft
on my face, the water sounds so peaceful, lapping against the
shore. Away from the loud and rough life of the farm. I usually
come down here when I have some time. I love to sit on the shore
with my book in my hand, just reading and taking myself to a new
world, where I have no worries or cares. "CASSIE, COME BACK
HERE, WE NEED YOU TO BOIL THE CABBAGE!" Oh, no, the peace
is shattered, off I go back to the house. Hopefully I'll be back
tommorow, I really hope..

Tamsin from Beaconsfield, age 15
once apon a time there was a pretty girl in a white
dress walking along a lake. her name was tamsin.

Peter from Scarborough, age 11
I am running away from my fears since i am lonely
and my husband is dead i have no will to live. This is the end
of the road for me this ice cold water will take my life. This
is my river of tears.

Pájaro from Caracas, venezuela
I'm looking into the water, because I forgot who
I am and maybe the reflexion of the sky in the surfase of the
water, will tell me the answer...

Helen from Bucks, age 13
This picture expresses a woman standing next to a
river. The tones expressed in this picture give the true colour
of light and help to create affect. I think this picture is peaceful
and helps you to relax.
